Lucifer, Satan, Devil, well, the evil has many names, and no matter what name you wanna call it with, it does bring a chill down your spine. When I heard about the series with the name Lucifer, I was scared, but I was equally excited as well. So I started watching this 3 season fantasy drama series, which later on became a Netflix Original.
The best part about Lucifer for me was that it was a detective series with some mystical angles attached to it, adding a whole new dimension to your everyday Detective series.
Lucifer is not at all like you’d expect when you first see him, he doesn’t have a burnt devil face, or horns, in fact, he’s a very good looking Greek god kind of a man. He drives fancy cars, has a club of his own in LA, is a womanizer, and can read minds (well, he’s God’s son after all).
What’s interesting is that he decides to keep his name Lucifer Morningstar even on Earth. Believe us, no one knows his identity on Earth, even to those who he wants to reveal his true self, is never in the position to go and tell anyone.
Lucifer changes the meaning of the word Devil, he’s not your usual evil, he didn’t choose to be evil, he was circumstantially forced to be one. He is caring towards his to be lady love (that’s what we know since the very beginning), he only destroys the ones who are actually evil, and the innocent are always spared by him.
Talking about the rest of the cast, there are various biblical characters you’ll come across during various seasons and many of them will be familiar with you.
The way it’s been made wherein Satan himself visits a psychiatrist to solve his issues, how he keeps on talking about his father (God) in the most human way possible and how despite being the supreme, he falls in love and all his powers fail while she’s around.
All in all, Lucifer in 4 seasons is an interesting watch. Available on Netflix, Lucifer is a must-watch. For the ones who have already seen it, a fifth season is coming up soon.
