Harvey Specter, Oh! The most amazing lawyer one could come across. Every time someone talks about this iconic and well, this very attractive character from SUITS, I always let out a sigh. The first time you see Harvey Specter, you are bound to be swept away by his incredibly good looks. However, once you see the show and come to know him up close and personal, you will realize that there is much more to Harvey than just beauty, there’s brains and cockiness (in the most badass way).
Harvey Specter is not your ordinary lawyer, but in fact, he is a brand on his own. In the world of SUITS, Harvey is feared, he is hated, he is loved, and he is respected. Harvey knows how to get things done, even if it means putting his reputation at stake sometimes.
One thing that the creators have not shied away from constantly reminding users of his never-ending bromance with his associate Mike Ross. Despite Mike not being a lawyer, he did catch Harvey’s attention during the interview stint of his and he immediately hired him, hiding the truth from everyone. This did get him and Pearson Specter in trouble many a time, but Harvey did not back out and protected Mike as far as he could.
His relationship with Mike is something that showed his soft side, and his ability to be able to have a relationship with someone apart from himself. His love and denial relationship with Donna is also something that was a fan favourite.
His anxiety attacks showed that Harvey despite being the brilliant, smart, and cocky superhuman, had his human flaws as well. You could not help but feel sad for his relationship with his family but when Donna forces him to even fix that.
His relationship with Jessica, and how she protects him makes you realize where his loyalty towards Mike comes from. His love and hate relationship with Louis is another story altogether. However, despite being jerkish towards Louis, his ways of making up makes you believe that inside that tough, arrogant guy, does lie a friend who loves even after all the insecurities.
You’ll have to agree to the fact that while the show did go on without Mike Ross, if you would remove the jigsaw out of the SUITS puzzle, it would be an incomplete picture. Harvey aka Gabriel Macht is the man that makes you fall in love with SUITS, and even makes you stay for nine long seasons.
When Harvey walks down the aisle with Donna, I am sure we all cried. When Harvey finally made up with his mother, there would have definitely been a tear of joy, and when you saw him have a panic attack, you wanted to be there for him, just tell him that it is going to be alright.
SUITS although has come to an end, but Harvey Specter and his most amazing life will remain a part of many of our lives. In fact, when stuck in a situation, there have been times when I’ve asked myself a question, what would Harvey do?
