Getting a college degree but no placements whatsoever, we’ve all been there haven’t we? You don’t get a call for a job, and you feel stuck. And then come to your parents, who subtly tell you, “Beta, Government Job Kar lo”. And somehow it hits you, you see their lives and you’re like why not, itne papad belne se to acha hai ki Government Job hi Kar lein.

TVF, which hosts a band of engineers in its team, in association with Amazon Prime has tried to tell the same tale in the rawest, real form and all you will do is fall in love with Jeetendra Kumar all over again.

Well, here’s the story of Abhishek Tripathi (aka Jeetu in popular opinion). Abhishek, an engineering graduate gets a job with the Uttar Pradesh “GOVERNMENT”. However, it wasn’t one of those dream jobs, but just the opposite.

But anyway, he and his bike and a bunch of his stuff went to Phulera where he had to start as the secretary of the Sarpanch. While it did sound like an easy job, a bed of roses didn’t await Abhishek, but the husband of the woman sarpanch who he was supposed to work with.

He did it all to try and survive in Phulera and despite his efforts, nothing was actually planning out for him. The way Jeetendra Kumar has played the part of the secretary. Neena Gupta as usual is amazing. However, the one man who takes your heart away is Raghubir Yadav who has acted so well.

The story however is simply of Tripathi ji, how he tries to lead a life in that office of his, how he spends a night with himself drinking bottles of beer Because of the lack of nightlife and gets his monitor stolen.

All in all, how Abhishek Tripathi does everything in his power to get out of Phulera, he studies day and night to be able to clear CAT so that he can bid the city adieu and move out to a better place in life.

While you would expect Abhishek Tripathi to clear the exam and get out of the village, but life has different plans for him. He stays in the village and gets used to the life there. However, he still wasn’t happy there, so he decides to climb up the water tank since someone mentioned it to him that only going to the water tank and looking at the village from there will make him fall in love with it.

Life again had a twist for Abhishek wherein he goes to the water tanks and meets Rinki, the sarpanch’s daughter. And while both the husband and wife had decided to only get him married to Rinki if she cleared CAT, Cupid seemed to have struck in the first meeting itself.

You’ll love how Panchayat is so Beautifully real and relatable in a way that you’d not expect it to be.
